Finished designing photomural for new Stumptown Coffee Roasters Seattle café location. Its about 20’x11’ wall. I started with drum scans of original 16mm negative strips that I shot on source trips and then designed to create some narrative flow within piece to echo one Stumptown’s core values of visiting farms and have personal relations with their farmers.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters occasionally hosts events where a “Producer” of their coffee talks to the general public about their farm and coffee. As a way of introducing them, I sometimes put together a quick two-minute piece that I cut together in an afternoon. This one was for Aida Battle from El Salvador who owns a sweet little farm that has produced Cup Of Excellence winners in the past. These projects try to further emphasize Stumptowns continuing interest to developing long-term relationships with their farmers.

Designed five 30”x40” digital c-prints for Stumptown Coffee Roasters to be hung in their training facility at their new roastery in Seattle. Original source material was individual frames of 16mm film from our source trips that were then drum scanned, touched up in Photoshop, then printed and mounted on 3/8” black gator.

Put finishing touches on Tega and Tula, our longest Stumptown piece to date that takes viewers through all the main stages of producing coffee before it’s shipped from the farm. This was culled from our most recent trip to Ethiopia.
